DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS


Department of Economics is the one of the oldest Departments of M.E.S. Asmabi College. The Dept. came in to existence in 1968 when the college was established. B.A Degree course was started in the academic year 1981-82. Post Graduate Programme in Economics was started in the year 2013. The Dept. aims to provide an essential understanding of various issues of the local economy so as to enable the students to comprehent and critically appraise the current economic problems facing the society. The curriculum of the Dept. is designed to provide a broad based understanding of the economic theory in General and Indian Economic problems in particular.
